LET FURY HAVE THE HOUR

Cash fans and Clash fans alike, cheque it out! Artist Shepard Fairey and author/director Antonino D’Ambrosio celebrate not only the book about Johnny Cash “A Heartbeat and a Guitar”, but also, and more furiously, the new Clash documentary “Let Fury Have the Hour.” The big fat party was on December 19, 2009 at Subliminal Gallery and called A Furious Heartbeat Exhibition. Below and above we’ve got photos of the screenprint poster that’s floating around now, plus some photos from the show!

The photos of the print above and below were taken by art collector / enthusiast / general rabble rouser codename: “Rastapunk” of thegiant.org. Thanks mang! Then the limited amount of photos of the show which you’ll see below in the gallery are taken by user experience design enthusiast Angel Robert Marquez of Los Angeles. Props!

The film is the main deal here, being a documentary about the political exploits of the Clash! Head man Joe Strummer and the Clash have been a subject of artist Shepard Fairey before, but never for a film of this magnitude. Examples below from the Obey Giant archives.
