Last time yours truly was walking around alone in the forest with a camera, I thought to myself “self, look, you can take all the pictures of the forest you want, but once other people see them, they wont care about them. In fact, you wont care about them 5 minutes after you’ve taken them. There’s no context, what’s the point?” Of course nature conservationists might disagree, and certainly those currently walking through the forest might say that the beauty they experience there is like no other. Truly they are correct! The thing is, you can’t take that beauty out and toss it around expecting people to feel it through the computer screen. So what’s the solution? That context thing!

Photographer Virginie Khateeb I believe figured this out long ago, as it is shown in her set here “Lost in a Forest” and shall forever now be proven henceforth.

Khateeb is a miraculous photographer as it is shown here in this collection of boots and glasses and the rest of her wardrobe lying on leaves in the forest. It is difficult to capture someones attention with photographs of nature this day in age, but she does it quite fantastically.
