There’s nothing like a hand-written sign from the 1950s or right around thereabouts. This magical beast was photographed at an estate sale in the summer of 2008 in North East Minneapolis, owned by an estate sale company who did not want to sell it. Trust me, I asked them. They were not going to budge, even for a bunch of cash. Wicked.

Also here’s a note to those of you thinking about getting an awesome tiny apartment in downtown Minneapolis after having lived with a couple of your extended family members with a giant basement: don’t do that. If you’re addicted to purchasing awesome stuff, especially if you’re an estate sale addict, don’t move into a tiny room with no basement. Unless you don’t want to purchase any more awesome stuff ever. Get a basement – you need to put your stuff in there.
