This is just what the doctor ordered. It’s called Re-Working Old Masters and it’s about the same sort of artwork I’m digging right this moment A lovely new print from printers/painters/pasters Static. It comes in many editions, some of them being 1/1 bla bla, but the most important thing is the subject. Note the reimagining of old images. It’s something like kitsch, but in a more… elegant manner… than the masters of classic kitsch, yes of course I’m talking about KISS.

Take a peek up in the right hand corner of the image and you’ll notice 4 colored squares : this is a reference to one of Static‘s earlier prints with a riot and Twister combo. Check it out:
