Venezuela Más de 130 mil homicidios en los últimos diez años; 12 mil personas asesinadas en el 2007 y más de 14 mil en el 2008. La violencia aumenta cada vez más en Venezuela y lo hace uno de los países más violentos de toda América Latina. En Caracas el índice ha alcanzado 140 homicidios por cada 100 mil habitantes, lo cual corresponde a más de 3 mil asesinatos en el 2008, según cifras oficiales.

Esta violencia se desarrolla en un clima de impunidad marcado por un sistema judicial deficiente y la mirada esquiva del gobierno nacional. A pesar de las cifras, según declaraciones recientes del Presidente Chávez es una infamia decir que esté aumentando la violencia en Venezuela.

Baño de sangre es un ensayo inicial sobre este tema que se basa en la publicidad electoral a favor de la propuesta de la enmienda constitucional.
