What the hell is that thing! Oh my jeezoose! It’s feeding time in the madness bin! It’s a dragon from beyond Neptune! Oh my goodness wait! It’s an illustration by Micah Lidberg. That dude is out of his mind with brilliant illustration skill. Color theory also. Holy crap did I mention there’s a dragon in this post. It’s so wild I don’t even know what to do with my spleen because it’s basically ripped out of my body and painted checkers.

This work of wonder is called “Two Headed Lava Worm Delight” and it’s for an art show at The Few Gallery. Micah appears to be thriving in this artist-eat-artist world due not in a small part to his undeniable skill with a graphite pencil. Don’t be surprised when you see Micah’s works in major museums and whatnot in just a few short years. Beliiiieve that.

Two Headed Lava Worm Delight is an image I created for the Few Gallery depicting a mythical interpretation of ancient birds called the moa. Here, the moa have ascended to the Upper Realm for their annual lava worm feast.

Biography & Interests

Hi, I am Micah Lidberg. I was born in the Great Middle West of America and since 1985 I’ve really been enjoying it. Currently, I’m illustrating, working, and having a ball in Kansas City, Missouri. My work is a sincere effort to capture the great beauty and energy I see in the chaos that is our world. I love using simple materials to make complex works and I’m always exploring the constant entertainment of making.

My interests include but are not limited to – drawing, friends, people, America, places outside of America, natural things, and pondering as a hobby.
