FrePrs Stencil Art Solo Show in Santa Ana at Galeria Con Safos

FrePrs! Comin on up from the underground! This guy just a few weeks ago was doing stencil paintings for fun, now he’s got his first solo show at an art gallery in Santa Ana California! His “name” is FrePrs, aka Free Press, aka Samuel Lowder and he’s all stencils and arms and teeth. Look at the layers of paint! Look at the craftsmanship in the lines! And oh my goodie gumdrops look at the color combinations! In this post you’ll find exclusive stencil cuts, fliers from the show, and a lovely show preview!

The very first FrePrs show in the entire world, ever, is at Galeria Con Safos in Santa Ana California. Peek your head in! I hear through the grapevine that there’s going to be a rather-inexpensive, rather-amazing screenprint poster made just for the show there.

FrePrs
At Galeria Con Safos
Opening Reception is
Saturday Oct 3, 2009.
from 7 pm to 11 pm.

Galeria Con Safos
209 North Broadway
Santa Ana, Ca. 92701

Oh and wowzers! We just happen to have a super-underground super-sekret preview of the show, courtesy of Lowder himself! Sizes are relatively mid-sized with the exception of the giant canvas (you’ll know it when you see it.)

9 22″ x 38″ sheets

This will be split in two for either side of the entrance and then there will be 6 canvas pieces made from these stencils.

This post is a bit of the ol’ World Famous Design Junkies painting category. The pictures are listed as thus: show preview of several completed paintings, stencils used in the process, the gigantic 9-stencil canvas, and finally, some just plain nice postcard fliers.

Good luck Lowder, we’re rootin for ye!
