Mary Magdalene

Turn your eyeballs to this. Andy’d be proud. Designer / Painter / fabulous Artist Christa Palazzolo’s made a wonderful set of paintings going by the name “Talking Heads.” Palazzolo’s taken famous names of famous or otherwise powerfully historic women, using them as tags for new-age portraits of strong or otherwise splendid looking women.

Heed! These be fantastic!

The full name of the set is “Talking Heads Series.” Although not dealing directly with the music, I’m sure the feeling of lighthearted glee and such are felt all the same.

Hang these next to your portraits of kings.

One of each of the following:
Joan of Arc
Mary Magdalene
Queen Elizabeth
Madame Curie
Amelia Earhart
Helen of Troy
Anne Sullivan
Harriet Tubman
Calpurnia

I’m not sure of the source image on any of these, but I feel like I might have seen one or two before. Harriet Tubman sure looks like Angela Bassett if I do say so myself.
