Another batch! Perhaps you remember the last time Iain Macarthur lit up the internet with his lovely pen and ink drawings? He’s not been idle since then, keeping all of his illustration instruments whistling the whole time, as all good workers do. This period around there’s some interesting deviations from the first collection. Amongst those are a heavier allowance of pencil markings, a very obvious dip into the power pool of negative space, and a bit of Bill Murray. Glance with admiration at these amazing portraits.

Let us now devour the poster works of Minneapolis design team LandLand. They’ve made it their mission to toss out the traditions of rock postermaking and act on instinct. The use the Force. But tossing out that tradition doesn’t mean tossing out the tenants of design and good artmaking. These skills are high and present up on this collection of masterpieces. When Jo Hamilton gets down, Jo Hamilton gets funky. This is the most intense crochet craftwork I’ve seen, sitting right up beside our reigning champion on the cross-stitching tip, Ruby Khan. Jo Hamilton gets extreme points for doing this whole thing with the crochet. Portraits with crochet! Look at this madness. It’s mad beautiful.

These photos are technically not animal parts inside-out, but animals with their insides… out. They’re all taken by one Nazif Topçuoğlu who is one splendid and spectacular photographer if I do say so myself. These photos fit perfectly into his artist statement, in which he searches for images that remind the viewer of an unclear past. In my mind, I’m hoping he’s a slaughterhouse attendant as a child.

Here’s a DIY project of ease and excellence if ever have I seen one. Designer Fabio Parizzi had the idea to print using nothing but sunlight. How would one do this? One would have to use something that acts as a stencil, the sun to shine through the stencil, and a surface that would agree to fade on command. What Fabio Parizzi has done is make a poster using this concept saying “Every Thing Appears Out of ****- ***”.

Yes there are some times when its appropriate to draw sports figures, believe it or not! The golden, romantic age of sports heros is over – Michael Jordan and Bo Jackson do not play sports anymore. But here’s a couple of women who love sports men so much they draw them with felt pens & markers to this day! These illustrators are named Sandra & Annika and they go by the team name YAWN.

This photo is part of a brief project that goes by the name “Sea Creatures,” made by designer Paul Fuog during a post held at Stefan Sagmeister’s Experimental Outcamp. That’s a load of words. Paint on objects. Just a blob. Extremely clean. That’s what we’re dealing with here. Super splendid!

Street artist Sam3’s been up to some good, goodness sake. Look at these two newest works of his, both of them gigantic black figures rolling away the bad vibes of the billboards they live at. What a spectacular gesture. It doesn’t even have to be about advertising, it’s just that excellent. These were painted with simple black acrylic/oil/mixed paint, whatever was free at the time, painted with rollers on long sticks. See the other one below.
