Oh yipee! That one company that’s got some good graphics and all that all over their tea, “Damn Fine Tea”, has collaborated again with the Minneapolis graphics superteam Aesthetic Apparatus for this fabulous tin. This tin is made for the Chinese New Year, and has adorned upon it a big fat happy tiger in celebration! Each of these 50 tins (50 tins ONLY) was printed in MPLS by Aesthetic Apparatus and with each tin comes a super kawaii cute prettyfaced sticker. Scoopy! Oh and inside the tin is the extra-strong Yunnan tea, one of the original teas known for it’s super powers.

Oh my goodness I thought the age was complete! I say now nay! The Gorillaz continue on! Five years after their last LP album comes this thing called Plastic Beach, in reference to the terrifying pollution-made floating islands in the ocean. Hope you know about those. Today’s the day the first song gets leaked to the internets. This first single song is called “Stylo” and features the same lead singer as before*, featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack. Pump it on up! Generally, and I mean most of the time, it’s basically OK to spit on cosmetic modifications to the cases of laptop computers. This one though, made by mah man MONK in Japan. It’s a simple change, really: just an hour of careful, careful taking apart of the cover, and a little bit of transparent rainbow paper. Don’t try this at home, though, unless you happen to expect to never have a problem with your computer again – a change like this voids your warrantee and any other safety guarantee you’ve got, all for a little cuteness!

Artist Shepard Fairey and author/director Antonino D’Ambrosio celebrate not only the book about Johnny Cash “A Heartbeat and a Guitar”, but also, and more furiously, the new Clash documentary “Let Fury Have the Hour.” The big fat party was on December 19, 2009 at Subliminal Gallery and called A Furious Heartbeat Exhibition. Yo! And behold! An amazing accomplishment from a simple fellow looking to have a little fun! This right here is the newest collection of characters illustrated by designer Dean T Fraser for his project “Springfield Punx!” He’s been at this for little over a year drawing these characters strictly as a personal adventure. What Dean does is take celebrities as well as fantasy characters of fame, transforming them into residents of the Simpsons’ Springfield! This newest set of his is just what the comic nerd ordered: Marvel Comics!

Set your eyes on this expanded look at the cover of the new CLONE magazine designed and fully illustrated by Grzegorz Domaradzki aka GABZ. It fills me with love for yellow and purple. Or violet. Whatever you want to call it. I’ve never seen faces illustrated with such grace in the color purple. I love them so much I can barely believe it. I’ve read CLONE magazine only a couple times, I think they were sitting in the waiting area at Rhymesayers. The inside’s pretty interesting, but the cover is where it’s at.
