Wait wait what? This is World Famous Design Junkies! We’re supposed to be family oriented, right? To a degree, shall we say. When something so innocent yet so double-take delicious comes up on this doorstep well, it’s just really too difficult not to shoot it, stuff it, and hang it on the wall. Look at this wrapping paper! It’s made by designer Paul Schlacter as a personal project (MAKE IT REAL NOW) to be used as wrapping paper for presents to be given at baby showers. Magnificent!

You know what I think? I think it’s just TRRRIBLE what people do with their pets when they don’t want them anymore. They just kick them in the river! Well that’s alright. But only if the pets we’re talking about are “Disposable Pets!” This is a product designed by masterpiecer Charlotte Dumoncel D’Argence. Each of these lovely little guys is made out of what I can only be assured is fully bio-degradable material so that when you toss it in the washing machine, it disintegrates! In the fire, it burns! In outer space, it floats!

The Moldy Peaches are a group that sings lovely music in a very raw way. They sing simple songs, about very average and fabulous things. Sometimes with swearing, sometimes for childrens. And all of it wonderful. What we’ve got here is a full-hilt design for an album and world tour for the Moldy Peaches called Fruits in the Back Yard – New in the Neighborhood. Here’s a fun little illustration project hacked on up by Konstantin Shalev. In it, several different “Space Crime” objects are created with interchangeable color schemes. What you see above is the ultra-smashed-together vision made for the final product – a bus. But check it out – look at that mass. The intensity of the color is only matched by the fineness of the detail. Not one object is made out of silly scale. Fabulousness.

Welcome to the click-out world of Michael Johansson. The work you see above is his dingy. It’s called Toys’R'Us and it’s a 1:1 scale model of a boat with all the necessities for staying afloat along with it. This sort of model should remind you of 1-piece click-out toys packaged with action figures such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Michael Johansson specializes in parodying this particular moment in toydom by creating life-sized models with that molded-plastic “break-apart and play” action specifically in mind.

Let me tell you about science manual books. Science manual books are manuals full of science related materials and science related illustrations. Most of the illustrations in science manuals are line-drawings. Since the illustrations in science manuals are line drawings, and on the whole, look basically the same, they’re very viable for super-simple collage.
