Holy crap! The generosity of the dude behind Exploding Rabbit is endless. Simply endless! Exploding rabbit is a new production… guy… who makes online video games and the like. And his first one is utterly fantastic! It’s called “Super Mario Brothers Crossover” and you won’t believe the joy you’ll get outta playing it. Crossover is a re-do of the original Mario Brothers video game (I should say, the non-Donky-Kong one), with one large difference – your choice of character. You can be the original Mario, Mega Man from Mega Man, Samus from Metroid, Link from Zelda, Bill R. from Contra, or Simon from Castlevania! Each of them has their own moves, power ups, and reactions to gameplay. A MUST PLAY.

Anyone who’s played Mario will flip out over this. Anyone who’s played Mario AND one or all of these other games will flip out 6 times as hard. Each mushroom, fire flower, and power up does something basically unique for each character. Some of them based on their character play in their original game, some of them completely new! You will not be able to stop. Ever.

London to Mars / One Way / My collection of wonderful things will never be complete without one of these. A glimpse into the future, a rather optimistic future where organic and inorganic have reached some different (and better?) coalition for the greater good of the world of design works… And Beyond!

Designer Jeeyun Michaella Chung speaks of a wonderful time: “On year 2121, Transport for London has set up a new shuttle ferry service to Mars called ‘The Martian Arms’ and I was asked to design a unique ticket for it. Assuming that soon high digital technology will completely take over the world and our livings, the craftship and unartificial things will gradually diminished out of our sights. Therefore, I thought of something very organic at the time of era to be unique and different.”

Please please, people of the future: make tokens stand the test of time. Tokens are so very excellent, and as you know from the classic “Minority Report”, wood configurations are all unique. Take heed! Everyone from the now-time, take a peek JMC below.

Yes indeed. More and more of these lovely websites are turning up, archiving the fantastic excellence of old. Especially in arcade games, which were basically fantastic in their prime. The site the photos in this post are from is an offshoot of the actual real museum that houses these fabulous vintage machines.
