Inspired by the tiny collection of vintage sewn clothing tags of artist, designer, and professor Kindra Murphy, here’s a slightly-less-tiny collection from all-round the internets. These are the sort of tags that are sewn in on the inside of the article of clothing by the neck. Take notice of the time and effort put into not only the design, but the design as it will be replicated in thread on the tag. Not an easy task! Especially since, believe it or not, they used to do this stuff without the computers and the whatnot!

Pictures above are all from the blog of Kindra Murphy: Kindra is Here!
Contributions also from RetroAttic, keiichi Tamura, hihlostudio, SwanDiamondRose, Fontourist*, Flour Clothing, Vasiliisa, Boli & Xie, mod*betty, Sabrosa Vintage, Tigerluxe, and a couple unknowns.
Several of the above contributors have extended collections: check them out!
Undoubtedly kawaii!
