Sad Face | Happy Face by Dotmancando 1

This is what the designer must do. Make things clear. Clarify. Make things simple to understand, make understanding a thing simple. Here’s what Nitipak Samsen aka “Dot” has done: simplify the head of the human down to a cone. A cone with happy eyes or sad eyes. Very Japanese in nature. You wear his creation to simplify your world to a degree that’s basically just too much. All you can see is happy, all you can see is sad.

“Sad Hat Happy Hat” The object can be experienced in 2 main ways, outside-in and inside-out. The outside-in aspects: the appearance of the hats indicates obviously what mood you are in. This experience critiques our excess of self-awareness in public, how much we care about how others are looking at us. The inside-out aspect provides a thrilling sensorial experience, something different and playful, we might not care how people will look at us, in our own visual and acoustic distorted world. -Dot Man Can Do

When you’ve got the cone on, you’d be best to have a companion who’s also wearing the cone, but in the opposite way. That way you can see everything from both perspectives. Don’t go running around though! You will crash.

Without a doubt, this belongs in the weird category.
