BIRD of the Dennis Pomales aka MINOTAURO Specimens painting group

In design (amongst other things, I’m sure,) exploration is important. It’s become a lot LESS important in the past few years as the digital revolution made it an industrial amount of easy to create reasonable design in a relatively short amount of time. Here we go. Let me show you that not all is speed. Let me show you designer / painter Minotauro, born and bred of exploratory projects.

SPECIMENS

4 species, 4 interpretations of each, 16 pieces total, the first of each species is the portal into that world, the third of each have leaks. Our first subjects are Ultraterrestrials, Plants, Birds, and Triangle People.

Watercolors, india ink, ballpoint pen, and pencil on 12″x12″ & 6″x6″ watercolor paper

This newest project of Minotauro, aka Dennis Pomales, is Specimens. In this 2009 set of images he explores an alternate dimension of living things in a naturalistic documentation style. Each of these is done with basic tools like ink, watercolor, and pencil. Discover the otherworld rainbow!
