Skylark Davis by DAIN

Oh so pretty, oh so nice! Each one of these 30 prints is different and smooth like unfinished ice! Artist/designer DAIN has a new (and first!) solo show (congrats!) of artworks like these at the Brooklynite Gallery which is located in (you guessed it) Brooklyn New York. The work in this show revolves around the 1940s and is embellished and visually exploded by the brightness and wildness of DAIN. This particular print is a limited edition of 30 with super-wacky destructions in each one.

2 Color Screen-Print with pen, pencil, brush & aerosol hand-embellishments. On heavy archival paper. Each print is unique.

Examples shown in the show other than the Skylard Davis print are also shown below in the gallery. Enjoy them all! The show’s called “Copasetic” and is running right now!

This show, and this series of prints, are a tribute to the 40′s and a certain life style that we might have forgotten. A time when things were simpler, and even in times of war, people were enjoying themselves as much as they could. It’s a portrait of an era, and it has Dain’s unique style and use of colors and symbols. — Pigments Editions, about “Copasetic”
