A lovely little phenomenon of re-using credit cards as guitar picks was just discovered by yours truly today. I was inside one of the rental houses my aunt owns and pow, there it was, right there in the basement where the dudes keep their band equipment: a guitar pick made out of a credit card. Just genius.

Check out some other examples of similar ingenuity below courtesy of man durphy, DStrick64, terryhadalittlelamb, Aud1073ch, imageburns, and PickPunch (who manufacture a handheld punching device which makes making this pick super simple.) The funniest thing about this thang is that everyone seems to find their self giving instructions on how to make such a pick when they post a pic of the pick. Believe it!

    I actually have a few guitar picks made out of credit card material. They came on a credit card-shaped card in a Def Leppard album, oddly enough. They indeed work very good, if you’re a fan of soft picks.

    I normally enjoy a heavier/stiffer pick choice though.
