Right before he had to shut his doors, he painted the business bright pink as a sort of "screw you" to the city since this is right off of a busy highway, making it much more visible than it was before. He also paid for some fine the city imposed on him in hundreds of thousands of pennies. It has been re-opened as Jake's Discount Liquors now.
