    I think what many people have failed to comprehend is that K isn’t blaming Palin or her supporters for her personal plight; she’s making a point: “Isn’t it strange that idiots like Sarah Palin get rich and powerful while intelligent college graduates are just barely living at all? What a backwards country we live in.” And she makes a good point, even if in an apparently controversial way. It’s not just her, of course; she’s merely the one on a street corner with a sign. It shouldn’t be news to anyone that many politicians (and others) are completely undeserving of their national recognition and high salaries.

    1) You’re unemployed ’cause you dress like a boy
    2) You’re behind in rent because you live in an expensive, large metropolitan city when you have no reason to ’cause you don’t have a job
    3) You’re hungry ’cause you’re a vegan.

    So don’t complain about your life little hipster Kristen, you made these choices so deal with them.

    I would honestly ask K to marry me if I saw that in person. It is brilliant and does show what is bringing the former world power down. The plain and blatant ignorance that is running rife.

    i have a dollar that says she has a degree in liberal arts from a community college.

    if she is so desperate for work then she should swallow her pride and spend the time she would be standing on a street corner holding that sign and fill out a few applications. just to let you all know, i am not one of the members of the upper class, one of the members of society sheltered from the recession. i am a highschool graduate who couldnt go to college this year because i didnt have the money. kristen is probably a former member of the middle class who had everything handed to her by her parents and then life got tough. she needs to realize that real life isnt that fucking easy. i got into and would be attending the best school in the country for the field the that i want to go into. i would literally kill to go to college. but instead, im working in a restaurant. she needs to gain some fucking perspective.

    Interesting. If she’s so desperate for work, why not do as many others (myself included) have done, and go into business for herself?  She claims she’s well-educated.  Perhaps she could put her education and creative ideas to use.  When the company I worked for went out of business, I immediately went to work for myself, began generating my own revenue streams through the internet, and now I and my family are doing fine.  Don’t blame others for your situation. Do something about it.
