While I tend to agree with Chris Burns, here’s a bit about Billy Mays.
Billy was a former “kiosk” pitch man you typically saw at fairs and product conventions. He started a business with his friend to pitch unique products on TV. Billy was quite “vocal” (LOUD) due to his early years, and I’m sure was a nightmare to TV soundmen everywhere. Before Billy died last year of heart failure brought on by cocaine use, he had a Discovery channel show called “Pitch Men”. It lasted less than a season due to his death.
One thing is for sure, everyone now knows where he got his energy from.
Billy was also featured on South Park with Michael Jackson.
Billy’s commercials still play on American television. His most famous being “Oxy Clean”
