      its not the name of the native american. its called Eastwood Ravine as Marty called himself Clint Eastwood when he went back to the 1800′s

    There are a lot of situation like that. In the third movie, the ravine is initially named after the teacher that fell into it, and at the end of the movie (when Marty is slowly rolling in on the train tracks) you can see a sign with the Native American name of the ravine because the teacher never fell in.

    In the beginning of the movie, Doc is talking about the farmer who used to own the land, and says, “He had this crazy idea about breeding pine trees.” So that’s the setup for this whole picture, and why he has the trees so close together in the past.
