This particular adventure is called “Public Market Fiasco” and it takes place in Portland, Oregon, at the Yamhill Marketplace; asterisk capital of the universe!

This entire amalgamation is the brainchild of designer / architect participant Justin Gorman. You’ll see a few other peeps in the photos of this project below – they are his pals and associates who are incidentally very into asterisk and footnote culture.

See if you can tell what these messages really mean. Are they a comment on the fact that in a normally full-to-the-brim marketplace happens to be empty? Do they speak about the mindset of the shoppers who are shopping? Peel and see!
