Dear internets. While everyone basically in the whole of these nets see the video and videos of the group of two rappers and a DJ Hi-Tek, that group called Die Antwoord, let us not forget the other half. Yes, in the brilliance, the flasher of lights, the one who captured the first glimpses of these new-world visionaries, that man! His name is Sean Metelerkamp and he brought and is bringing it to your faces. He both took the photos and shot the videos that made you first see Die Antwoord, and he too, is a brilliant mind contributing to society 12x the internets that anyone else is.

So what’ve we got here, this video, first, is sort of the bigtime Antwoord promo video using their song Zef Side (which is much longer than the video suggests), this video was directed by Metelerkamp:

That’s the only video I know for sure is made by him, then there’s these photos, which, when I first tried to find any information on this crew, these photos were the only things on these interwebs. They are fantastic. Word is that when Antwoord were starting to get serious about getting recognized wordwide, which is I’m pretty sure the same time they basically started thinking about recording an album, they called up Metelerkamp who had just won some award for photographing other South-African cultural photographies. And he said yes, and these photos popped up!

Good news though, apparently, I read in one interview I don’t remember where, I read it today, that he’s gotten international calls for photos and such since Antwoord sort of blew up, all at the same time. So hooray Metelerkamp!
